PINKBUS: Hezky česky follows the success of the format “PINKBUS: Slovak and No Other!” As the title suggests, this time the spotlight shifts to Czech social and political themes—from world-famous national stereotypes to more pressing issues like the housing crisis, the labor market, and rising nationalism and racism. In the spirit and tradition of Prague’s legendary travesty shows, the platform once again raises the bar for cabaret and drag. Expect opera, country, and folklore performed by renowned Czech and Slovak artists.
The heart of the show belongs to the platform’s icons: the indispensable Venice (performed by Martin Talaga), and the return of Tomáš „Grófka“ Procházka, who brings back a classic travesty figure inspired by Czech cultural legends Helena Růžičková and Jiřina Bohdalová.
