Sestry Chalupovy

Sestry Chalupovy is a dance collective from the village of Skalice near Hradec Králové. They dedicate their performances to the elegance of the “First Republic” era—a time when “decency, elegance, and good manners prevailed.” Performing in authentic period costumes to the music of the time, they showcase the fashion and etiquette once worn for various social occasions.

The collective took its name from two real-life sisters, Růža and Máňa Chalupa, whose story and charm captivated the group’s founders.
