The French progressive metalcore foursome will arrive at Prague’s Futurum club on February 14, 2024, where they will present their latest single “Turn It Up”. They will be supported by The Word Alive, Elwood Stray and Ashen.
The ticket premium pre-sale for RfP app owners has just started. The public sale starts on Wednesday, October 25 at 11:00 a.m. on the GoOut network: https://goout.net/cs/listky/novelists+the-word-alive+dalsi/ltjv/
Novelists was formed in 2013 by the Durand brothers after the breakup of their previous band A Call to Sincerity. The band’s music is styled mostly in metalcore with powerful guitar riffs heavily inspired by progressive metal and djent. The Novelists rely heavily on clean, melodic vocals in their work rather than harsh screaming, an uncommon practice in metalcore. The current line-up of Novelists consists of Florestan Durand (guitar), Amael Durand (drums), Nicolas Delestrade (bass), Camille Contreras (vocals) and Pierre Danel (guitar), who joined the band in 2021.
The band received great recognition in June 2017 when they released the single “The Light, the Fire” and went on tour with While She Sleeps and Northlane. Shortly after, they signed to SharpTone Records and released their second studio album “Noir” in September 2017. After their third studio album, 2020’s C’est La Vie, they delighted fans with their latest album, September 2022’s Déjà Vu.
Supporting them during their tour will be, among others, metalcore stalwarts The Word Alive, who became famous for songs such as “RISE”, which became the anthem of the 2018 League of Legends World Championship. The Word Alive play with hard rock, electronica and metal and combine everything into a unique alternative. They already have 7 albums to their credit, the latest of which “Hard Reset” was released this August and features guest appearances from fellow musicians such as Bad Omens, Normandy and Loveless. The whole metalcore package will be closed by the equally great Elwood Stray with their latest album “Gone With The Flow” and emerging stars Ashen.
