Acid Row is a Czech band formed around 2012, renowned for their explosive combination of stoner rock and punk, seasoned with elements of doom, psychedelia, and 90s grunge. Originally hailing from Pilsen before relocating to Prague in 2019, the group is notorious for their ferocious stage energy and an affinity for a darker, “devilish” aesthetic. The band currently performs as a trio consisting of Alex Fonar (vocals, bass), Dominik Klesa (guitar), and Radek Bacík (drums).
The band gained wider recognition with their debut album Spikes (2018), followed by the successful LP Afterglow (2022), which made an impact on the international Doom Charts. Their third studio record, Poisoned Mind (2024), cemented their status by winning a Rock category at the Anděl Awards (the Czech Grammys). Acid Row tours actively across Central Europe and has shared the stage with global genre icons such as Clutch, Bongzilla, Red Fang, and Stoned Jesus. In 2026, they are releasing their fourth full-length album, Magic, which teeters on the edge of stoner, doom, sludge, and noise rock.
