Any Young Mechanic AU

Intricate scenes, distinctive characters, and emotions that change like a kaleidoscope. This five-piece Australian band brings a fresh language to folk music, and it’s clear from the first listen that storytelling is in their blood. Their work is colorful, yet there’s not a hint of superficiality in it.

The band borrowed their name from the lyrics of the song “Hooray For Hollywood” – and just as this song is associated with the silver screen, their music also has a cinematic character. Their domain is colorful lyrics, which at times resemble a film script. “We are trying to make folk music for now,” suggests frontman Sam Wilson. “Turning it on its head in a new, sometimes uncanny way, because we don’t want to just do the old thing again.”
