Bloodywood IN

Formed in 2016 as a fun band, Bloodywood from New Delhi, India are the hottest metal band right now! They bring everything you need: aggression, global ideas, visionary views, politically correct behavior and standing up for minorities from all walks of life.

The band, consisting of Jayant Bhadula, Karan Katijar, and Raoul Kerr, managed to break into the international charts and gather crowds of fans around the world.

The musicians utilize traditional Indian instruments, such as the tabla, dhol, and bamboo flute. They mix these with raw thrash metal, urban rap vocals (English/Hindi/Punjabi), and hard-rock grooves. This creates a proper frenzy that sometimes sounds like an open street fight, and despite the regional references, it is of an absolutely international standard. This is especially true when more subdued sounds find their place on the album “Rakshak” (Hindi for “Protector”), as heard in the tracks “Zanjeero Se” and “Jee Veerey.”

Bloodywood definitely delivers a world-class standard here, opening up to target audiences who may be less metal-savvy. Most of their music rages like a storm and is escalated with an impressively frantic force, denying the listener even a moment to rest. It is precisely due to this quality that the album “Rakshak” made it onto the Billboard charts, making Bloodywood the first Indian metal band to achieve this feat. “Rakshak” was also successful on Bandcamp, where it reached the number one spot in album sales on the platform upon release and ranked as the 22nd best-selling new release of all time.
