Slovak punk-rockers Horkýže Slíže from Nitra will celebrate an incredible 32 years on the music scene in 2024. Throughout a career full of success, the band has built a strong presence in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, selling out clubs and sports halls with their own headline shows and appearing at festivals as a leading representative of the Czechoslovak rock scene. The members have never lost their sense of tongue-in-cheek and epic humour, parody and provocation. They have played over 2000 concerts, released 15 albums and 2 books, boast over 100 million views on YouTube, and were voted the second most popular Slovak band in the Slavik awards a few years ago.
In 2024, the band has completed a spring tour across the Czech Republic, which was followed by a festival season and a fall tour around culture houses, during which Slíže played a cross-section of the best of their work. Hits such as Malá Žužu, Silný refrén, Nazdar!!!, R’n’B Soul or A já sprostá are legendary nowadays and the band has already proved several times that they have their place in the RfP lineup and they definitely get along with the Rock for People audience.
