Kid Kapichi stand out on the British scene not only for their beat punk sound but also for the political activism woven into their music—take, for example, their track “Can EU Hear Me,” which takes a firm stand against Brexit.
Their latest release, the album Fearless Nature (2026), stems less from anger than their previous work, focusing instead on fear. “The other albums were observations, written about other people,” says frontman Jack Wilson. “This one resonates with me and who I was at the time. It is introspective.”
The album also marks a symbolic new chapter for the band, following last year’s announcement that guitarist Ben Beetham and drummer George Macdonald were moving on. Although they both contributed to the record, it will be a fresh lineup hitting the road. Joining singer Jack Wilson and bassist Eddie Lewis are guitarist Lee Martin and drummer Miles Gill. “They are insanely talented. There’s a whole new vibrancy, especially at live shows where we’re all bouncing off the walls because it feels like our first ever gig again,” Wilson adds.
