Determined and tireless, Last Train has not lost the passion that drives them throughout their nearly 15-year career. They are a unique band that leaves its mark through its generosity, genuine sensitivity, and is armed with rock energy and melody. Their natural habitat is the stage, where they have for example toured with Muse and Placebo.
Like many other bands, the story of Last Train begins in high school, where Jean-Noël Scherrer, Julien Peultier, Timothée Gérard, and Antoine Baschung first met. However, the rest of their career has been anything but ordinary. They have played more than 600 concerts, from the largest European festivals to legendary Parisian venues, which quickly filled up with an ever-growing and loyal audience. Furthermore, in 2024, they released an orchestral reinterpretation of their songs.
Their latest album, III (2025), was created within the cold walls of the Château de Planchamp, and it is more than apparent that the environment had a major influence on the resulting sound. On this record, the band dared to venture into the hostile territory of anger and frustration. It is an organized chaos that reflects intimate feelings of alienation, hatred, disappointment, and disgust. The album is a brilliant blend of energetic tracks and those featuring progressive, crescendo-graded structures.
