Leoniden are a German indie-rock band whose name was inspired by the German term for Leonids – meteor showers from the constellation of the Lion. Since their beginnings, Leoniden have gradually earned their place in the music scene and especially in the hearts of their fans.
The band released their debut album “Leoniden” in 2017 and followed it up a year later with their second album, titled “Again”. Their last album “Complex Happenings Reduced To A Simple Design” was released in 2021, and fans and music experts agree that Leoniden not only surpassed all previous albums with their third album, but also paved the way to success with it.
The album contains 21 tracks that as a whole are a breathtaking album, a ride on amphetamines, a fireworks display of compositional madness and iconic split seconds that you can’t get out of your head. Leoniden have finally found their sound, and by putting all their live energy into it while avoiding compromise, they’ve earned their status as one of Germany’s most innovative, genre-defying bands.
