Mat213, Matěj Čech, was born in 1998 in Prague. He calls himself a “digital songwriter” who makes “angsty happy dance music”.
Matěj is currently a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, where he works in the painting atelier. It is led by the trio Josef Bolf, Nik Timková and Jakub Hošek. Hošek and Timková are, among others, members of the collective A.M. 180, which organizes the annual alternative music festival Creepy Teepee and whose “main goal is to create a dialogue between the independent music and contemporary art scene.” He is also known for his podcast Swag, which is published on the GoOut platform.
