Chicago-based cosmic quartet REZN have mined the stark monochromatic depths of underground metal and fused with the delights of psychedelia, prog rock, and shoegaze. Since their inception, they have been completely independent and, as knowledgeable technicians, experienced sound engineers, and seasoned veterans, they create each of their works entirely on their own and do not compromise on their standards.

Almost all of their albums – Let It Burn (2017), Calm Black Water (2018), Chaotic Divine (2020), and Solace (2023) – were self-released. In 2024, however, they signed a contract with the Sargent House label (Deafheaven, Brutus), under which they released their latest album, Burden, in the same year.

Originally, the albums Solace and Burden were supposed to be released as one complete recording, but in the end, REZN decided to separate them into separate albums. While Solace uplifts and creates a feeling of narcotic dreaming, Burden leans toward themes of delirium, claustrophobia, and suffering. REZN masterfully performs their music full of contrasts live, leaving a significant mark in Europe and North America.
