Eternal purveyors of artful and engaging heavy creations, Thornhill possess a flair for nuanced rock beyond their influences. The ARIA Award-nominated album “Heroine” (2022) helped cement their reputation as one of Australia’s most progressive and vibrant heavy bands.
Over the years, the band has earned a number of awards, including Triple J’s “Feature Album” title, and made several best albums of the year lists for their album “The Dark Pool” (2019). Thornhill have played Download Festival and Good Things Festival during their career with headliners Bring Me The Horizon and many more in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. The band has sold out headline tours and played shows alongside Architects, Parkway Drive, and The Plot In You. In 2022 they played headline shows in the US on the East Coast alongside support acts ERRA and Alpha Wolf.
Now they have released a new album, “BODIES”, on which they continue to reinvent heavy music. “With BODIES, we’ve embraced a more immediate, unfiltered approach that feels like a lightning bolt, looking to capture the energy of Thornill right now,” the band says of the album.
