Leeds-based alternative band VENUS GRRRLS stands out with its original goth-grunge sound and storytelling abilities. Lead singer GK’s vocal inflections are a commanding presence against cascading riffs and synth motifs.
Current single “Ivy Tree” was co-written and produced by Max Helyer from You Me at Six. The song starts innocently, but gradually turns into a powerful burst of energetic pop-rock. This is the second in a series of singles they have worked on together. The first was the song “Eighteen Crows,” which was released in early 2025.
VENUS GRRRLS have enjoyed emphatic support from BBC Radio 1, 6music, Radio X and praise from the likes of Kerrang!, NME, Dork, Upset, Alternative Press, CLASH and Distorted. They have supported Sprints and played festivals like Download, Reading & Leeds, 2000Trees, Isle of Wight, The Great Escape, SXSW and Liverpool Sound City along with selling out their down debut UK headline tour.
