Water From Your Eyes US

Experimental avant-garde indie pop or art rock. That’s New York duo Water From Your Eyes—Rachel Brown and Nate Amos—who everyone should keep an eye on. Having already conquered big stages alongside Interpol and Snail Mail, they are now preparing to take Rock for People by storm.

The duo formed in 2016 and initially created melancholic dance music. Since then, however, they have come a long way and transformed their artistic intent into much bolder, alternative indie rock. Perhaps this is due to their unexpected inspiration from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Since the release of Everyone’s Crushed (2023), their debut album on the legendary Matador label, Rachel Brown and Nate Amos have become pillars of the contemporary alternative scene. The album appeared in the lists of the best recordings of the year according to The New York Times, The Guardian, Pitchfork, NME, Vogue, Wired, and Rolling Stone, opening the door to international recognition. They grew into a quartet when guitarist Al Nardo and drummer Bailey Wollowitz from the New York duo Fantasy of a Broken Heart joined them.
