Rock for People is a fan of shared and low-emission transport. Pedal for the planet and your health, and travel to the festival (eco)logically and for free. Also, this year, our clean mobility partner, nextbike, has become our bike share partner. 250 of them are currently available in Hradec Králové!
Do you want to try out the bikes? Just download the nextbike app to your mobile phone (download from the App Store or Google Play). By travelling on shared bikes, you will help us reduce the carbon footprint of the festival. In 2024, 10,967 km were covered on nextbike bikes during the festival ( 8,806 km in 2023).
Three stations will be available this year:
- RfP base – in the 24-hour zone near the bike storage
- RfP Správčák – for those staying at the festival campsite by the water
- RfP Green Parking – from the car park, you are on site in a few minutes
All arrivals and departures to and from the RfP stations will be free within 45 minutes (this is a limit to keep bikes from getting completely bogged down). So you can easily make it to the Park 360 area from the centre of Hradec!
How to rent a bike? Three steps are all it takes to rent a bike conveniently:
- Download the nextbike app to your mobile phone and activate your account. We recommend downloading the app in advance of your first rental.
- Launch the app and select “Rent a bike”.
- Scan the QR code on the bike. The bike will automatically unlock, and you’re ready to go!
Returning the bike is even easier:
- Return your bike to one of the official nextbike stations: you can find their location on the map in the app.
- Park the bike at the location and pull down the lock lever above the rear wheel. The bike will beep in satisfaction when you return it.
- A notification will land in the app informing you of the end and length of the loan.
P.S. Be careful with yourself. You become a road user/participant on the bike. And alcohol does not belong on the road! You can find the ten rules for safe riding on shared bikes here.
