Safe Space

You might have already heard terms like ‘harm reduction’ or ‘safe space.’ In the context of Czech festivals, these are relatively new concepts. In practice, they mean minimizing the risk factors associated with the festival environment—for example, through prevention or education in specific areas—and creating a safe, welcoming space for all festival fans.

We want you to feel safe, free, and welcome at the festival regardless of your age, gender, orientation, disability, or beliefs—and that is certainly nothing new. That is why, in collaboration with expert organizations from across the Czech Republic, we are building on our previous inclusion and safety initiatives with strategies based on a harm reduction approach.

This year, alongside our traditional Non-Profit Zone—featuring organizations such as Hnutí Brontosaurus, Člověk v tísni, Sue Ryder, Rostlinně, Fuck Cancer, and Sea Shepherd—we are also introducing a brand-new Safe Space. Organizations like Cesta z krize, Neticho, Laxus, and the Česká společnost AIDS pomoc will be there to look after your well-being and safety.

Stop by to get tested for STIs for free with results on the spot, learn more about hearing protection, take a rest, process any (intense) festival experiences, or find out more about the harm reduction approach.

The zone’s opening hours are from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. From 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, a night-time first aid station will be available here.

Safe Space is located near the 24-hour zone.

CESTA Z KRIZE

Cesta z krize is a non-profit organization that has been operating two crisis helplines for over a decade: the First Psychological Aid Line for adults and the Family and School Line for children, parents, and educators. Both lines are free, anonymous, and operate 24/7. Every day, via phone and chat, they help children and adults overcome anxiety, navigate difficult life situations, or cope with suicidal thoughts. Trained crisis intervention specialists handle more than 12,000 calls annually, a number that continues to grow. At the festival, you can learn more about their work, buy some great merch, discover how to support someone in crisis, and most importantly, experience firsthand how crisis intervention can help during the toughest moments.

Free, anonymous crisis hotlines are available nonstop, so you can call at any time during the festival if needed.

ČESKÁ SPOLEČNOST AIDS POMOC

Česká společnost AIDS pomoc is a non-profit organization focused on HIV prevention that has been supporting people living with HIV for over 30 years. At the festival, they will offer anonymous and free testing for HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis B and C, with results available on the spot. Visitors can get tested, learn about current trends in the prevention and treatment of STIs, and find out more about the services the society provides—not only for those living with HIV. At the festival, they will create a safe space for open discussion about prevention and sexual health, while providing both information and preventive materials.

LAXUS

Laxus has long provided support to people in difficult life situations, particularly those affected by addiction. The organization offers a wide range of services, including streetwork programs, drop-in and counseling centers, addictology treatment and therapy centers, and school prevention programs. Laxus emphasizes service accessibility and an individual approach to clients, viewing them as partners in resolving their situations. At the same time, it focuses on training professionals who work with people in challenging life conditions. Laxus provides social and addictology services across the Hradec Králové, Pardubice, Central Bohemia, Liberec, and Vysočina regions.

Want to find out more about how to enjoy the festival without any unnecessary mishaps, or just meet someone who will listen? The Laxus team has condoms, lubricants, earplugs, and other useful supplies ready for you if needed. At their stall, you can also quickly and reliably test your drinks for GHB, ketamine, Rohypnol, and other substances. Come try a short quiz and discover things you might not know yet. Stop by! Our goal is for you to feel good and stay safe at the festival.

You can also contact the Laxus team during the festival via the Instagram account Na_festu.

NETICHO

Do you hear ringing, buzzing, or humming in your ears? Want to learn more about hearing protection? Stop by the Neticho stall! They can advise you on everything related to tinnitus, and you can pick up earplugs for sleeping, share your story, take a photo with a giant ear, or even experience what tinnitus feels like for a moment. The Neticho team looks forward to seeing you!

Safety at the festival is everyone’s responsibility. Have you seen something that shouldn’t be happening? Do you know the 5Ds rule?
