The main mobility partner of the Rock for People festival this year is the Czech Toyota dealership. It will provide a fleet of 20 low-emission vehicles for the festival, including battery electric cars and a hydrogen Toyota Mirai. They will be used for the festival’s facilities as well as transporting bands and guests. A world premiere will be an extensive experience zone with a Drink & Drive bar, which will offer non-alcoholic cocktails throughout the festival in partnership with Toyota.

A brand new Toyota activation zone will be a novelty. Visitors will once again find it in front of the merchandising hangar. Compared to last year, however, it will be bigger and will entice visitors not only to view the Toyota Mirai on display and charge their phones for free in the charge boxes, but for the very first time it will also offer a non-alcoholic bar.

“Last year, the Toyota Mirai on a special stand with charge boxes became a natural meeting and resting place within the complex. This inspired us to create a cosy zone for festival-goers to sit in peace this year. As many concert-goers arrive at the festival by car, we decided to prepare non-alcoholic cocktails for them to enjoy, after which they can get in their car and drive away. The epicentre of the zone will be two Drink & Drive design containers. In the first one, the “Drink & Drive bar” will be a big premiere within the festival world.

A comprehensive range of mixed drinks from Vassa non-alcoholic spirits based on vodka, rum or gin. The second will provide service of non-alcoholic wines, sparkling wines and mixed drinks from the European leader, the German company Kolonne Null. All this in original mixology from the hands of professional bartenders. The popular Silent Disco will also be part of the zone throughout the four days of the festival.

Carbon neutrality by 2030

Toyota will once again provide a full transport service for this year’s Rock for People for both performers and VIP guests of the festival. The low-emission fleet of vehicles will include the Toyota bZ4X battery electric vehicle as well as the Toyota Mirai hydrogen electric vehicle. This is the second year that Toyota will be contributing to the festival organisers’ goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030. The transition to low-emission transport is a major contributor to this.

Charging cars directly at the festival grounds

Toyota’s electric cars will again be charged directly at the festival, while the hydrogen Mirai will be refuelled at the classic hydrogen refuelling station. The electric cars, including the Toyota bZ4X, will be charged by the H2BASE hydrogen generator from the Czech company DEVINN, which will also supply a significant part of the festival grounds with energy produced from green hydrogen. Additional clean energy consumption will be covered by photovoltaic cells, which will be installed on an area of more than 60 m² from the beginning of June.
